20 March 2024: We have been having some challenges with the search functionality in the calendar and are working to resolve the issue. Eucalypt Botanical Printing with Retritus (Qld) – SOLD OUT

A full day workshop with Norton from Retritus where participants will learn the basics of botanical printing.
Workshop cost is $120 + booking fee, please reserve your space by purchasing a ticket.
Eucalypt Australia has subsidised 5 tickets for marginalized people within the community. These tickets are reserved for BIPOC, low income, LGTBTQIA+ and people with disabilities – if you consider yourself in any of these categories please don’t hesitate to send me an email with an expression of interest for a $30 ticket.

We will start the day getting to know the theory behind botanical printing then we will move on to creating our bundles on a 20% silk and 80% wool scarf followed by paper. While our bundles are in the dye pot we will break for lunch.
Due to Covid I am asking that participants bring their own lunch and keep cup or bottle.
After lunch we will spend some time making handmade twine from natural fibre material (feel free to bring an old piece of clothing you would like to upcycle – don’t worry if you don’t have any I will also provide material).
Participants may bring leaves or flowers of their own to try but please make sure you can identify the plant and know that it is not toxic. I do encourage participants to use at least 50% of leaves provided on their scarves to guarantee results.
