Eucalyptus Bark Dye Workshop & Guided Walk – 23 Mar Ku-Ring-Gai Wildflower Garden (NSW)

23 March @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

$45

Special Eucalypt Week Event

Join local artist & designer Olivia Reily as she shows us the wonderful artistic applications of the iconic Australian Eucalypt.

We will learn how to prepare the eucalyptus bark dye and apply natural shibori and tie-dye techniques to create your very own uniquely patterned canvas tote bag!
Then enjoy an intimate ranger-led tour down unique bushland trails in the Wildflower Garden where we will learn about the fascinating Scribbly Gum Story and why these iconic Australian trees are so special.
We are also running a Eucalyptus Ink Drawing Workshop in the afternoon and both programs cost $45 per person and include all materials. The guided walk will run for both activities 1pm – 2.30pm and is optional experience for attendees.

The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden is one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, set across 123 hectares of unique urban bushland and home to two endangered ecological communities as well as 18 threatened species of flora and fauna. The Wildflower Garden is open to the public all year round and has a range of hikes, step-free walking tracks, picnic areas and heritage venue hire as well as a diverse calendar of environmental education programs
