Eucalyptus ink drawing workshop & guided walk 23 Mar Ku-Ring-Gai Wildflower Garden (NSW)

23 March @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

$45

Special Eucalypt Week event

Join local artist & designer Olivia Reily as she shows us the wonderful artistic applications of the iconic Australian Eucalypt.

We will be taken on an intimate ranger-led tour down unique bushland trails in the Wildflower Garden where we will learn about the fascinating Scribbly Gum Story and forage for our ink drawing implements along the way.

We will then learn how to draw with found sticks and use a range of techniques, experimenting on different art papers to create your very own ink drawing, inspired by the plants and creatures of the Wildflower Garden!

The guided walk will run from 1.00pm – 2.30pm and is optional experience for attendees. The Eucalyptus ink drawing workshop will run 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden is one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, set across 123 hectares of unique urban bushland and home to two endangered ecological communities as well as 18 threatened species of flora and fauna. The Wildflower Garden is open to the public all year round and has a range of hikes, step-free walking tracks, picnic areas and heritage venue hire as well as a diverse calendar of environmental education programs.
