Did you know there are 82 significant habitat trees in Yarra’s parks and reserves, and they’re all Eucalypts?
Grab your movie snacks and join Yarra Council’s biodiversity team and Cinema Yarra to delve into the wonderful world of eucalypts for National Eucalypt Day!
We’ll be screening Remember the Wild‘s series of five ‘Eucalypt’ documentaries, followed by a moment of reflection and discussion about your favourite eucalypt memory, moment or tree in Yarra!
“The Eucalypt series explores these trees’ evolution and ecology, their intimate connection with Indigenous Australians, their role in art and craftsmanship, and their future in a changing world. These films tell the story of the tree and the continent that shaped one another. “ – Remember the Wild
