Searching for events for a past year? Set the start date as the 1st of January of the year you are searching; the list will contain 25 records and then go to the bottom of the page and press next.
20 March 2024: We have been having some challenges with the search functionality in the calendar and are working to resolve the issue. In the meantime please find attached a list here for the events running until the end of May. It will download as a word document which contains links back to the Eucalypt Australia website and the direct booking links for activities.

The Great Aussie Gum Leaf Hunt with Nuts About Gums (online)

The Great Aussie Gum Leaf Hunt is on for this National Eucalypt Day!!!
Opening on 16 February and running until the 20th of March, Nuts About Gums will run a Competition with 3 categories to encourage people to get out in nature and explore our great gums.
Winners will be announced on National Eucalypt Day.
- 1stcategory is the Longest Leaf. Photo to be taken of leaf with a ruler or tape measure along with a piece of paper with their name, date leaf found and rough location, and submitted to an email address. Prizes for first second and third
- 2ndcategory is the Widest Leaf. Photo to be taken of leaf with a ruler or tape measure along with a piece of paper with their name, date leaf found and rough location, and submitted to an email address. Prizes for first second and third
- 3rdcategory is the Weirdest/Most Unusual Leaf. Photo to be taken of leaf along with a piece of paper with their name, date leaf found and rough location, and submitted to an email address. Prizes for first only. Judging of this will be done by the admin team of Nuts About Gums, But if Eucalypt Australia want to take an active role, I am happy to forward the entries to the executive for judging.
All leaves must be retained until the winner announced as they may be required to be sent in for verification.

- 1stplace in the first 2 categories, will receive a Nuts About Gums pack consisting of a T-Shirt, Tote Bag, Stubbie Cooler, Mug and Hat.
- 2ndplace in the first 2 categories, will receive a Nuts About Gums pack consisting of a T-Shirt, Tote Bag, Stubbie Cooler
- 3rdplace in the first 2 categories, will receive a Nuts About Gums pack consisting of a T-Shirt.
- The winner of the 3rd category will win a Nuts About Gums T-Shirt.

As this competition is to find the longest, widest, or weirdest leaf, it is open to people of all ages and abilities and requires nothing more than a little sense of adventure and their eyes and there will be at least one of the categories in every area of Australia.
