WA Tree Festival (WA)
6 April - 5 May
About the festival
Trees are essential in a warming climate – they cool us down, provide habitat for wildlife and make our neighbourhoods look and feel better. Although most local government areas are working hard to plant trees on streets and in parks, we are still losing large amounts of tree canopy each year, especially in areas with lots of development.
WA Tree Festival brings local councils and community groups together to help share the value of trees collectively.
From highlighting the importance of daily connections to nature, and the often-invisible benefits trees provide, to understanding issues around tree canopy loss, climate change and how you can help – check the festival events page to find an activity near you. https://www.watreefestival.com.au/
