Home Is Where The Habitat Is – Projection – Parliament House Canberra (ACT)
March 3 @ 8:00 pm - March 13 @ 11:00 pm
Free
Brittle Gums (Eucalyptus mannifera) and the wildlife that depend on them are taking over the façade of the Australian Parliament House, as part of Enlighten Festival.
‘Home is where the Habitat is’ is a 6-minute animation featuring the changing seasons of Canberra and the species found in the gardens of Parliament House, including critically endangered and future endangered birds. The projection features an original soundscape and music created by the renowned Dr. Ann Jones and music producer Corey Hague.
In collaboration with Dr. Michael Mulvaney, Eggpicnic have captured the subtle changes of the Brittle Gums throughout the seasons and will unveil the insects that rely on these flowering gums. Eggpicnic worked collaboratively with scientists, naturalists and music producers to create an immersive experience to renew our sense of connection.
Join us on the lawn of Parliament House to watch ‘Home is where the Habitat is’ take flight!
